Personal support for your astrophotography: one hour, your questions, and my full attention. I'll share my experience and my perspective. The work itself is always yours.

What we can work on

  • Gear — untangling choices, or making sense of what you already own.

  • Your images — going through your data and your edit with fresh eyes.

  • Planning — which targets suit your sky, your gear and your season.

  • Direction — stepping back to work out what kind of astrophotography you actually want to pursue.

How it works

Come with something on your mind: a question, an image, a frustration, or a decision you've been circling. It doesn't need to be polished, and you don't need to be at a certain level. We start with what matters most to you and work from there.

Sometimes one conversation is enough to bring things back into focus. Sometimes it helps to come back now and then, to check in and recalibrate.

I can't promise to fix everything, and I won't hand you a path to follow blindly. Whatever direction we find only works if it's one you're willing to act on.

About me

I'm Tim Ciasto. I've worked as a filmmaker for 13 years, and I photograph the night sky with smart telescopes, a refractor and camera lenses. I built TonightPlan, a free planner for astrophotographers, and I make astrophotography videos on the Cosmic Captures YouTube channel.
